Frank Bambara is a prominent native New Yorker, renowned drummer, multi-percussionist, bandleader, and composer who is a fixture in the New York City music scene. He is celebrated for his deep versatility.
He is best known for leading New York jazz ensembles, preserving and revitalizing classic, high-energy jazz and old-school New York style salsa and Latin jazz music, historically popular in the New York City club scene.
